Strokes don't stop during a global crisis. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, more than 700,000 individuals in the U.S. suffer a stroke each year. After a stroke, individuals can experience various deficits depending on the area of the brain affected, including physical, behavioral, cognitive and language. Stroke rehabilitation is crucial to help individuals overcome any deficits, regain skills lost and become as independent as possible.
