When an individual suffers a brain injury, the entire family is affected. In addition to managing behavioral symptoms and time spent on caregiving, lack of education about a loved one's diagnosis, its sudden onset and denial can lead caregivers to depression, anxiety and toxic relationships. Adoption of a caregiver program can be beneficial by implementing effective behavior strategies, coping techniques and the proper occupational balance - ultimately improving quality of life for the caregiver and individual receiving care.

After this 60-minute webinar you will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose and rationale behind the need for a formal stress reduction program for caregivers
  • Understand the importance behind the objectives of the program
  • Explore what an occupational profile is and its importance in discovering occupational imbalances
  • Explore the benefits a stress reduction program can have on caregivers

This presentation offers one hour of CEU accreditation from CCMC and CRC.
